Brussels Flower Carpet transforms Brussels, Belgium’s Grand-Place into a living tapestry every other August, celebrating the city’s heritage and Belgian floral artistry. Hundreds of volunteers hand-place waves of begonias (sometimes other blooms) to create a giant themed carpet that lasts only a few days. Arrive early to watch the fast-paced laying, then head to the City Hall balcony for the best overhead view as colors, scents, and evening light-and-sound effects bring the square to life.
