This one is personal. Paul was born in Burgundy, and this is the trip he has always wanted to share: not the Burgundy of the guidebooks, but the one he grew up in. Slow mornings, Romanesque stone, long lunches that turn into afternoons, and winemakers who pour like they are glad you came.

For a few days in May 2027, a small group, just eight to twelve of us, will live a little of that life together. No rushing between five regions. No coach-tour checklist. One place, known deeply.

The itinerary is still coming together, but here is the shape of it:

  • The Romanesque trail: the great abbey at Cluny, the abbey-church of Tournus, and the quiet chapels in between

  • The Roche de Solutré and the country around Mâcon, on foot for those who want it

  • The vineyards and the table: tastings with growers, and meals built around them

  • A hands-on cooking class, the kind you carry home in your hands

  • Room to breathe, plus a few optional add-ons (a longer hike, an extra visit) for the days you want more

We will share the finished day-by-day with waitlist members before anyone else.

A handful of travelers, couples or solo, first-timers or returners, who would rather understand one corner of France than photograph ten. If you like your days unhurried, your meals long, and your hosts close at hand, you will feel at home here.
